AV Synergy was contacted by the client after successfully completing various TV and sound system installs for them in the past. They had always wanted to have a home cinema system and had decided now was the time to coincide the install with the redecorating of their lounge.
We visited the house a few months before the room was finished to install all of the required cabling before the decorators were called in, this allowed us to keep the system as discreet as possible by completely hiding all of the cables in the walls.
The client wanted the system to be kept to a reasonable budget without compromising on great picture and sound quality. This led us to specify a 50" Full HD Pioneer Plasma screen coupled with An Onkyo amplifier and Speakercraft surround sound speaker package. The equipment which included the amplifier as well as Sky HD, Denon DVD player and a PS3 were all housed in a specialist AV piece of furniture. The furniture blended in nicely with the aesthetics of the room and was specially constructed to support the weight and dissipate the heat of the AV equipment.
The installation was brought together with a custom programmed touch screen remote control. The remote allows the client to easily turn on the cinema with the touch of one button and then gives them full control of the DVD or Sky HD box that they are using. Mark comments "The touch screen remote control really makes life easier we no longer have a pile of remotes on our coffee table and we don't need a degree in IT to turn the TV on!"
"The key to the success of this installation was the early stage that we were involved in the project, If you are having building work carried out on your house and are considering having Home Cinema or Multi Room audio at some stage in the future early planning and cabling is a must, By installing the relevant cabling well in advance you are saving your self a lot of time, money and hassle in the future. That's not to say however that cables can’t be installed afterwards it’s just a lot more difficult" Dan Palmer Installation Manager. |
