Case Study: Trouble in the New Forest! |
| |
A technology enthusiast was able to finally get a system that lived up to his expectations after being visited by AV Synergy.
The client had been using an Audio Visual (AV) system for about five years when he contacted Creston UK because he wanted something more reliable and easy to use. Creston UK referred the case to AV Synergy who upgraded the system to make it more reliable and eco-friendly as well as installing plasma screens with touch screen remote controls and surround sound.
The client was so impressed AV Synergy were later called back to the house to install a full CCTV system - fully equipped with dome cameras that can be moved and zoomed in around the property so that the he can even check the gardener isn’t napping in the green house!
AV Synergy visited the client and assessed his equipment and advised him they could do some re-wiring and reprogramming to get it running at its best, or upgrade the system to the latest technology available. The client being keen on having the latest technologies chose the upgrade.
This saw two new Pioneer plasma screens installed in two main viewing rooms. One screen was housed on an automated wall bracket, which folds back flat to the wall when the system is off and then moves to the favourite viewing position when it is switched on. A touch screen remote control moves the screen to other viewing positions and Artcoustic surround sound was installed - providing great but discreet sound.
AV Synergy also made the equipment more reliable and ensured it was protected from power surges, which are common in remote areas like the New Forest. All of the equipment was supplied with filtered and surge protected mains power using two Furman power conditioners, which help supply a clean voltage and help to stop expensive damage to equipment. These conditioners were programmed to automatically power down when the equipment is not in use to make the system more environmentally friendly.
AV Synergy replaced the wooden shelves in the client's existing unit with two specialist AV racks made by Middle Atlantic. These racks allow equipment to be pulled out for servicing without cables having to be unplugged. The equipment can then be pushed into the unit and hidden when not in use. Cable management and fan assisted cooling also contribute to making the equipment more reliable.
The client was pleased with the upgrade and AV Synergy returned to install CCTV throughout the house, which can be viewed on any of its TV screens. This is controlled by Crestron touch panels which move the dome cameras and zoom in around the property. |
